Gemma HeiserGemma Heiser is a professionally Registered Nutritionist with an MSc degree in nutrition and ten years experience in public health. She is also trained in the more holistic discipline of nutritional therapy and skilled in dietary counselling and clinical practice. With this unique background she fuses nutritional science with holistic practices to offer one-to-one consultations that are sensible, practical and effective and underpinned by scientific evidence and best practice guidelines.

Gemma offers a visiting service to women in Gloucestershire and Bristol. One-to-one consultations take place in the comfort of your home allowing for a less formal environment and one in which Gemma can offer lots of practical support (such as peaking in your fridge – if agreeable with you! – to advise on labelling and food swaps). One-to-one consultations can benefit anyone, whether you are looking for general healthy eating advice or would like more specific guidance on how to manage a health condition by modifying your diet and lifestyle. Gemma will encourage and guide you to make simple, realistic changes towards a balanced diet and can also offer specific advice that could help you:

Gemma’s home consulting service includes:

  • An extensive analysis of your diet (including calorie, fat, salt, sugar, fibre, vitamin and mineral intake) and a written diet and lifestyle report;
  • A tailored diet plan with foods to increase or decrease, example menus and advice to help you manage certain health problems;
  • Fact sheets on dietary and health issues of relevance to you;
  • Practical support and materials such as snack and meal ideas, recipes, stockists, food labelling and eating out advice, cooking tips;
  • Email support between consultations to help keep you motivated.
